Operational review continued New Zealand market review
An established operating base supporting evidenced delivery and disciplined, locally led growth. OCU – ANZ has an established operating base and plant yard at Rolleston, South Island, New Zealand connected to the wider AEC platform. It provides a practical base from which to support local relationships, mobilise people and equipment and respond to the country’s long-term energy and infrastructure requirements. Regional capability is applied where it strengthens delivery, while client and operational accountability remain close to the New Zealand market. The market context is supportive: electrification, renewable generation, storage, hydro and more resilient networks point to a sustained requirement for investment. OCU’s approach remains measured: build from evidenced delivery, deepen local capability, and scale only with visible demand and the resources to execute safely. “New Zealand is a distinct market. Our priority is to deepen local relationships and delivery capability, supported by the regional platform, while keeping accountability close to our people and clients.”

Delivery in focus At Te Rāhui Solar Farm near Taupō, OCU Group is delivering electrical and cabling works through AEC for EPC contractor Beon Energy Solutions, with Bam Bam providing ground engineering support.
The program combines capability from both sides of the Tasman Sea while creating a specific reference from which OCU – ANZ can deepen local relationships, supply chain knowledge and operating capability. An operations base has also been established in the North Island to support the growing work base there.
