Case study | Australia | Post year end mobilisation Fraser Coast Hybrid PV and BESS Near Maryborough, Queensland | Client: Global Power Generation, a Naturgy company
The hybrid project combines solar generation and battery storage on one site, connecting to Powerlink’s Teebar Substation through a 275 kV transmission line. Once operational, it is expected to generate power equivalent to the annual consumption of around 167,000 homes. AEC is delivering the electrical balance of plant, supported by Pilecom and Bam Bam across foundations and ground engineering. With three OCU businesses co‑ordinated through one client interface, the project demonstrates how the ANZ platform can assemble complementary capability around a nationally significant program. Mobilisation commenced in May 2026, with delivery continuing through FY27.
