Energy Transformation The core Australian market in FY26: a renewable delivery platform strengthened through acquisition and beginning to win and mobilise broader integrated scopes.
From market entry to integrated delivery
AEC also completed electrical works at the 450 MW Clarke Creek Wind Farm, helping the project reach commercial operation in October 2025 despite demanding terrain and multiple contractor interfaces. Integration in action Broadsound Solar Farm and Battery provides a clear example of cross-business integration. The development will comprise a 377 MWdc solar farm and battery energy storage system in Central Queensland. Bam Bam completed the foundation and piling works, enabling AEC to commence electrical installation in line with the program. Shared planning, co‑ordinated use of equipment and disciplined handover between work fronts helped maintain continuity across construction phases. Cloudbreak provided a further proof point in Western Australia. Pilecom’s foundations work established the relationship with Fortescue, after which AEC mobilised rapidly to undertake electrical works across eleven project blocks. The co‑ordinated response brought foundation and electrical delivery together in remote conditions and created a stronger platform for ongoing work across Fortescue’s renewable program.
In Australia, FY26 remained focused on renewable infrastructure and high-voltage delivery, while the developing platform enhanced its ability to co‑ordinate electrical, mechanical, foundation, and underground infrastructure across complex projects. Organisationally, there were three linked priorities: integrate the acquired businesses into one client‑centric delivery platform, strengthen local leadership and move the operating model towards broader, more accountable scopes. FY26 progress AEC entered OCU Group with a broad base of renewable delivery. Across calendar year 2025, the business completed 17 projects spanning utility‑scale solar, wind, battery storage and extra-high-voltage infrastructure, representing more than 2 GW of capacity. The portfolio provided both operating scale and a range of completed references from which the wider ANZ platform can grow. At the 380 MW Aldoga Solar Farm in Queensland, AEC completed electrical reticulation, mechanical installation, direct current and high‑voltage terminations and compliance testing, supporting delivery three months ahead of schedule. At the 150 MW Munna Creek Solar Farm, electrical balance-of-plant works were completed in November 2025.
Australia’s energy transformation requires contractors that can move beyond isolated work packages and take responsibility across civil, electrical, mechanical and grid interfaces. During FY26 we began that move. AEC provided the operating base, Pilecom and Bam Bam brought complementary delivery capability, and OCU Group added the leadership, systems and specialist resource needed to pursue more integrated projects. Broadsound shows what integration means operationally. Bam Bam’s teams established the foundations and handed work fronts to AEC for electrical installation, with both businesses planning around the same program.
